Accessibility Statement

Last updated August 10, 2026

My Local Loop is committed to making our service accessible to as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing effort.

1.Our commitment

My Local Loop Inc. (“MLL”) believes everyone should be able to find and redeem local deals. We work to ensure our website and portals are perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people of all abilities, and we continually improve the accessibility of the service.

2.Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

My Local Loop is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content may not yet fully meet the accessibility standard. As an actively developed closed beta, we are working to identify and resolve any gaps, and we welcome feedback (see Section 6).

3.Measures we take

Accessibility is considered as part of how we build the service. Measures currently in place include:

  • Semantic HTML structure with headings and landmark regions to support screen readers and navigation.
  • Keyboard operability — interactive controls, including our custom menus and date pickers, can be reached and operated with a keyboard (arrow keys, Enter, and Escape).
  • Clear, visible focus indicators so keyboard users can see where they are on the page.
  • Respect for the operating-system “reduce motion” setting, which minimizes non-essential animation.
  • Descriptive labels for icon-only buttons and controls, and text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • A colour palette and typography chosen with legibility and contrast in mind.
  • Responsive layouts that support zoom and reflow on phones, tablets, and desktops.

4.Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. We are aware of, and working to address, the following:

  • Some embedded third-party components — such as the interactive map and the sign-in and sign-up forms provided by our authentication partner — may not fully meet every WCAG 2.1 AA criterion. We monitor these providers and their accessibility support.
  • Newer areas of the product may contain issues we have not yet identified. If you encounter one, please tell us.

5.Compatibility

My Local Loop is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers (such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) and common assistive technologies. The service depends on standards-based HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; if any of these are unavailable or unsupported in your setup, some features may not work as intended.

6.Feedback & how to reach us

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of My Local Loop. If you encounter a barrier, or need information in an alternative format, please contact us:

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days and to resolve reported barriers as promptly as we reasonably can.

7.Assessment & standards

We assess the accessibility of My Local Loop through a combination of internal review and testing during development. This statement, and our target of WCAG 2.1 Level AA, reflects our commitment under evolving accessibility frameworks in Canada, including the Accessible Canada Act and British Columbia’s Accessible British Columbia Act. As standards and our product evolve, we will update our approach and this statement.

8.Updates to this statement

We review and update this Accessibility Statement as we make improvements and as standards change. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
