Terms & Conditions

My Local Loop (“MLL”, “we”, “us”) operates a platform that connects people who shop local (“Locals”) with independent businesses (“partners”) offering exclusive deals. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and My Local Loop Inc. Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the service. We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 15.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• My Local Loop is currently offered as a closed beta in and around Kamloops, British Columbia. Access may be limited and is granted at our discretion.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when you sign up and to keep it up to date.

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Accounts are personal to you and may not be shared. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. Authentication is handled by our third-party authentication provider.

Access to the beta is granted by approval. If your application is approved, we issue an invite key tied to the email address you applied with. Invite keys are personal, confidential, and non-transferable, and must be used with the email they were issued to. Do not share your invite key; we may revoke a key we believe has been shared, misused, or obtained improperly.

If you join as a partner, you additionally agree that:

• Partners join free — in return, you commit to a standing baseline discount for Locals, which you publish before your storefront goes live, and which you will honour for valid redemptions during its stated availability.
• You will honour every offer you publish for valid Local redemptions during its stated availability.
• Deals you run on MLL are exclusive to Locals and are not to be posted on your own social channels, coupon sites, or other deal platforms.
• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the offers, business details, images, and other content you provide, and for having the rights to any logo or images you upload.
• You will treat Local information you receive in connection with a redemption as confidential, and use it only to complete that redemption.

You retain ownership of the content you submit — such as application details, business information, images, and support messages. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and use that content as needed to operate and provide the service (for example, showing your storefront and deals to Locals). You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to the content you submit.

The service, including its branding, design, and software, is owned by My Local Loop Inc. and its licensors and is protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for its intended purpose. Partner names and marks remain the property of their respective owners.

The service relies on third-party providers for authentication, payments, hosting, email, security, and maps. Your use of those features may also be subject to the providers’ own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability is not guaranteed.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular deal will be available.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Local Loop Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits or savings, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless My Local Loop Inc. and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the service, your content, or your breach of these Terms — to the extent permitted by law.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we suspect fraud or abuse, or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Because My Local Loop is in active development, features may be added, changed, or removed over time. We may also revise these Terms; when we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be communicated where reasonable. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts located in British Columbia will have jurisdiction over any disputes.
